Shawna Linn is an experienced ESL instructor, world traveller, and award-winning, Canadian author who believes some of life’s best stories begin when we step beyond the familiar.

With a passion for language, culture, and human connection, Shawna has spent her career helping people find their voice in English while continually broadening her own perspective through travel. Her adventures around the world, and the people, places, and unexpected moments she has encountered along the way, have helped shape both the teacher and the storyteller she is today.

Writing as S.E. Linn, she brings her curiosity about people and the world to the page. Her love of storytelling is rooted in the same qualities that inspire her teaching and travels: imagination, discovery, connection, and the belief that every person has a story worth telling.
