Street Talk - Real English For Real Life

Online
One-on-One

You’ve studied English. Now it’s time to live it.

Have you ever understood every word in your English textbook, then found yourself struggling to follow a conversation with native speakers? Maybe people speak too quickly, use expressions you’ve never heard, or seem to blend their words together. And when it’s your turn to speak, you know what you want to say…but you’re not quite sure how to make it sound natural.

Welcome to Street Talk!

Street Talk takes you beyond traditional textbook English and into the language people actually use in everyday life. Led by a Canadian CELTA-certified English instructor with more than 20 years of ESL teaching experience, this course will help you speak more clearly, naturally, and confidently in real-world situations.

You’ll explore idiomatic expressions, phrasal verbs, everyday vocabulary, pronunciation, enunciation, rhythm, stress, intonation, and connected speech – all those little details that can make spoken English sound natural and conversational.

But Street Talk is about much more than pronunciation.

It’s about connection and belonging.

Learn how to join a conversation, make new friends, chat with classmates and coworkers, understand humour and casual expressions, and feel more comfortable participating in everyday life. Instead of wondering, “What did they mean by that?” you’ll begin recognizing the expressions and conversational shortcuts North Americans use every day.

Whether you’re studying, working, travelling, or building a new life abroad, Street Talk will give you practical tools to communicate with greater confidence and integrate more comfortably into your school, workplace, community, and social life.

Speak naturally. Connect confidently. Feel at home in the conversation.
