One-on-One

Mahdi teaches mathematics to students in Grades 1–12, adapting his teaching methods to suit different age groups, academic levels, and individual learning needs. For elementary students, he covers foundational concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, geometry, and word problems. He helps students develop number sense, strengthen their calculation skills, and build a solid foundation for more advanced mathematical concepts.
For students in Grades 7–10, Mahdi teaches topics such as integers, ratios and proportions, algebraic expressions, linear equations, inequalities, polynomials, coordinate geometry, graphing, exponents, and the Pythagorean theorem. He emphasizes conceptual understanding and encourages students to apply mathematical principles to solve problems independently.
For students in Grades 11–12, he provides support in advanced topics, including functions, quadratic equations, polynomial and rational functions, trigonometry, logarithms, exponential functions, sequences and series, and mathematical transformations. He also helps students prepare for tests and examinations by reviewing essential concepts, practising challenging questions, and developing effective problem-solving strategies. His experience with advanced mathematics, supported by his engineering education, enables him to explain complex topics through logical, structured, and practical approaches.
Mahdi’s teaching philosophy focuses on making mathematics understandable and accessible rather than relying solely on memorization. He breaks down difficult problems into manageable steps, provides examples of varying difficulty, and adapts his explanations according to each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. He encourages students to ask questions, think critically, and develop independent problem-solving abilities.
His goal is to help students build confidence in mathematics, improve their academic performance, strengthen their understanding of fundamental concepts, and develop the skills necessary for success in higher-level mathematics and future academic pursuits.
